Leadbeater's Possum Detection Report – 288-514-005 'Superficial'
Forest in and adjacent to VicForests scheduled clearfell logging coupe 288-514-0005 was investigated to assess the presence/absence of the critically endangered Leadbeater's Possum. Across the dates of this investigation, WOTCH surveyors detected Leadbeater's Possum in four locations. This investigation concludes that VicForests has scheduled logging operations in an area of forest currently inhabited by the critically endangered Leadbeater's Possum. The methodology employed, the results of the investigation and the report’s conclusions are detailed below.
